ABOUT SAMPHIRE

Es Gegant des Vedrà (The Giant of Es Vedrà) is the tale about two brothers who, to cure their father of an incurable illness, had to go to Es Vedrà island (off Ibiza) to gather rock samphire and face the huge giant who lived on the island, huddled in one of the island's many caves. The two brothers’ ingenuity, along with the help of sea urchins, managed to debilitate the giant, and thus collect the samphire for the cure.

Cannabis is this generation's Rock Samphire, a plant medicine with great healing powers which has required ingenuity and perseverance to legalize, grow, process and bring to patients and consumers.  The prohibition of cannabis was created almost 100 years ago as a political weapon to marginalize and hold back communities of color.  We strongly support the legalization of cannabis, the release of prisoners serving time for violent drug offenses, expungement of criminal records for cannabis violations and social equity programs to ensure fair participation of all in this growing industry.
